Well, I've been busy organizing my front room/craft room. The room that you enter the house is turning out to be my craft room so I've been starting to make it presentable so I can actually have friends and family over. I've neglected the house for a while but I recently retired and decided instead of sitting around to organize.
It's been a busy couple of weeks. On Easter weekend my husband and I went to Sherwood Forest Ren. Fest on Saturday. It was a beautiful Texas spring day and we walked through the shops and watched some shows and jousting. Then on Easter we went to my daughter's in Waco and got to play and watch my grandson hunt Easter eggs. It was so much fun playing with him and watching him. He is so smart! He is only 19 months and it was fun watching him as he figured out to look for eggs. He can already pick up and hold 2 plastic eggs in his little hand! I'm such a proud Mimi!
This past weekend we decided to go to Wimberly, TX and go to their market days. I found some fantastic things to use to organize my stuff. I found some really old mason jars, 2 blue Bell jars and an old Presto jar with a glass top (I had never heard of that brand and the lady told me it was real old). I also found a fantastic little cabinet with little drawers in it that I paid $30 for which is a little much for me but my sweet husband let me get it.
Back to my organizing! After looking online to see what other crafters do I decided to put my ribbons in jars. I have some around the house but have also been finding some at flea markets. My husband is so sweet and bought me a bookcase at Ikea a month ago but we still haven't put it up, so for now I'm just going through the supplies I have and separating them.
As I have said I do have a disability with my back and neck so it takes me a longer time to do things but slowly I'm doing a little at a time.
